Below, you will find a breakdown of each of our themes for this summer’s programming! We encourage parents to reach out if you have any questions. We are so excited to get started!
Week 1: Earth, Wind & Fire
(Tuesday, July 2nd to Friday, July 5th - Shortened Week Due To Canada Day)
To kick off our summer camp, campers will embark on an exciting journey of exploration and discovery! Our Earth, Wind & Fire week will be filled with conducting fascinating experiments, hands-on activities and engaging learning experiences. Campers will have the opportunity to delve into various fields, such as space and ecology, and learn about the world in which we live through interactive workshops, outdoor expeditions, and fun experiments. Rest assured, there will be no real fire!
Week 2: Once Upon a Time…
(Monday, July 8th to Friday, July 12th)
Campers will immerse themselves in a world of enchantment and adventure! They'll have the opportunity to channel their favorite characters, by donning capes as superheroes or embracing the magic of beloved Disney classics. From exciting themed activities to imaginative crafts and games, they'll embark on a journey filled with creativity, teamwork, and plenty of fun. Expect your child to come home with stories of epic quests, heroic feats, and magical moments that will leave them with cherished memories to last a lifetime. AND... expect a special visit from a classic character, making their time at camp even more unforgettable!
Week 3: Crafty Campers
(Monday, July 15th to Friday, July 19th)
Art Week at camp promises to ignite your child's creativity and imagination like never before. Throughout the week, budding artists will explore various mediums and techniques, from painting and sculpting to drawing and mixed media. Campers will have the freedom to express themselves in vibrant colors and bold strokes, turning their visions into tangible works of art. Each day will bring new projects and themes, fostering both individual expression and collaborative exploration.
Week 4: The ASUS Olympic Games
(Monday, July 22nd to Friday, July 26th)
Throughout the week, your child will engage in a wide array of sports and fitness activities, designed to build skills, team building and sportsmanship. They will have the opportunity to play team sports, participate in obstacle courses, and learn about different ways we can move our bodies. Campers will take breaks with fun-themed crafts and activities about healthy living. This week’s focus will be on teamwork and promoting overall well-being.
Week 5: You’re Going to Hollywood!
(Monday, July 29th to Friday, August 2nd)
“You’re Going to Hollywood” week at camp is a celebration of creativity, with a special spotlight on music and dance. Campers have the opportunity to explore and refine their artistic abilities through a variety of activities where they are encouraged to express themselves freely and confidently. This week inspires campers to embrace their passions and pursue their dreams with enthusiasm and determination. Campers will get the opportunity to watch and/or participate in our second annual talent show!
Week 6: Fuzzy Friends
(Tuesday, August 6th to Friday, August 9th - Shortened Week Due to Civic Holiday)
During Animal Week at camp, children embark on an exciting journey to explore the wonders of the natural world. Through engaging activities and experiences, campers discover the fascinating diversity of animal life. They learn about habitats, behaviours, and the importance of conservation, all while fostering empathy and respect for our furry, feathered, and scaly friends. Anticipate the arrival of some fuzzy friends at camp!
Week 7: Time Travellers
(Monday, August 12th to Friday, August 16th)
Welcome to "Time Travellers" week at camp, where young adventurers journey through the ages to discover the wonders of the past! Get ready to dig deep into the world of fossils and dinosaurs, uncovering ancient mysteries and fascinating facts. Through exciting games and hands-on activities, campers will embark on thrilling expeditions to uncover hidden treasures and learn about the creatures that roamed the Earth long ago. From exploring the world of fossils to playing archaeologist in search of ancient artifacts, every day brings new adventures and discoveries. This week is a magical voyage through time, where young minds ignite with curiosity and imagination, inspiring a lifelong love for exploration and discovery.
Week 8: The Final Amazing Race
(Monday, August 19th to Friday, August 23rd)
Welcome to "The Final Amazing Race" week at camp, where the spirit of teamwork and adventure reaches its peak! As our camp journey comes to a close, it's time to put all the skills we've acquired over the past eight weeks to the test. Campers will embark on an exhilarating Amazing Race-style scavenger hunt, where they'll navigate challenges and puzzles that require collaboration, problem-solving, and quick thinking. Along the way, they'll discover fascinating facts about countries from around the world. "The Final Amazing Race" week is not just about crossing the finish line - it's about celebrating our journey, cherishing the memories we've made, and embracing the friendships that will last a lifetime. Get ready for the ultimate adventure as we sprint towards the grand finale of camp!
